As Chief Technology Officer for Sound Income Strategies, LLC and Chief Technology Officer for Advisor Academy Holdings, LLC, Rana Chander is responsible for the corporate strategy, information technology roadmap, operations, trading, eBusiness, risk management, communications, customer care, and cloud platform engineering.
Rana joined the firm in 2022 as part of the senior leadership team. His primary responsibilities are to evaluate the business needs, and process walk-throughs to create an industry-leading robust and transparent technology toolkit comprised of workflow systems, reporting, integration with third-party platforms, client dashboard, billing, and compensation. He maintains a consistent pulse on the industry and strives to stay ahead of trends, and changes that can affect our clients and employees. Through these measures, Rana will assure that the firm’s clients will always have access to the best service, the latest fintech solutions, and a smooth path to the future.
Rana previously served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Information Officer for Investacorp Inc, a leading wealth management firm under Ladenburg Thalmann, helping over 500 financial professionals and staff in matrix-oriented organizations overseeing enterprise strategy, corporate vision, technology roadmaps, and growth of the firm. Before Investacorp, Rana also served as vice president of Global Database Technology for Merrill Lynch, a leading brokerage firm on Wall Street.
Rana earned a bachelor’s degree in Computer Systems Engineering and a master’s in Computer Sciences with an emphasis in database systems from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. Rana also holds Series 7, 24, and Series 66 securities licenses.
When he is not at work, Rana enjoys spending time with his family, playing tennis with friends, swimming, and exploring new beach locations with his wife and two kids.
